Aim and Scope:

Traffic Control Systems as a sample of large scale control systems includes different level of controllers and decision makers. In recent years, Hierarchical Control Systems (HCS) have been introduced for this type of systems and valuable researches have been done in this field. Hierarchical Control Systems laboratory has been founded in School of Railway Engineering to handle the research projects in HCS with application in Automatic Traffic Control in railway traffic systems. In addition to HCS, this laboratory has considered the other research fields like Slip Control Systems and Signal Processing.
