Iran-Germany Science Day
On the occasion of Iran-Germany Science Day, School of Railway Engineering hosted two events:
- “Transportation and Logistic Session” on the 27th of Feb. from 15:30-17:00. At this event, Dr. Moini the head of Siemens in Tehran presented a speech on “Strategic Partnership of Siemens with Universities”.
It was followed by a presentation from Ms. Denise Kaske, head of International Cooperation of Fraunhofer Institute on how they support industry-university collaboration and research.
The last talk was given by Dr. Udo Krause, Vice Rector for Research from TU Dresen Technical University that explained about their international cooperation, strategies and activities in the field of transportation.
The audience which included some faculty members and transportation experts discussed different methods and ideas for collaboration.
Also, Dr. Krause opened the possibility for further scientific collaboration between Dresden Technical University and Iran University of Science and Technology that can happen by working on a Memorandum of Understating with the School of Railway Engineering.
- The Second event is organized by the cooperation of the School of Railway Engineering, TÜV SÜD Rail and METAFAN Tadbir Azin Farzan Engineering Co. in which “Modernization of Signaling System” workshop is discussed by Mr. Björn Silberberg. Over 100 experts from various railway companies including Iranian Railways registered to participate.
