Meeting with Multitel from Belgium
On October 30th, a meeting was held between managing director and head of railway certification department of Multitel (Belgian research center), managing directors of AIMS control and ETCOTechnomartcompanies from Iran, dean and research deputy of School of Railway Engineering and three other faculty members. Multitel is a successful example of cooperation between university and industry, with a turnover of more than 7 million euros per year and 77 employees. One of its major fields of activities are railway test and certification, especially in the field of ERTMS which currently has 80% of Europe’s market. Main topics of discussions were about the need for establishing a railway test center in Iran, the role of school of railway engineering in this regard and technical specification needed for passage of international trains betweenAsiaand Europe via Iran. The two sides agreed on signing an MOU in the near future. |
